Announcing....

...that I am soon to be married to a Grandpa!  Wait a minute - that doesn't sound quite right.  No, I'm not getting a new husband.  Jim and I are going to be grandparents!

While I was awaiting clearance (permission) to make the announcement, I started pondering my own pregnancy and birth with Christopher.  Now Chris is going to be a daddy!  He and Amy are ecstatic.  Amy is doing well except for the usual indications that she is indeed expecting a baby.  Please pray for her and this precious little one due to arrive sometime in late November, Lord willing.

As I posted on Facebook, close friends were amazed and impressed that I could keep this a secret so long.  Just goes to show that becoming a grandma is helping me grow up.

Here are some quotes in honor of this wonderful news:

What a bargain grandchildren are! I give them my loose change,
and they give me a million dollars' worth of pleasure. ~Gene Perret

A grandmother is a babysitter who watches the kids instead

advise every one of you straight away to become one. There is

Grandchildren are God's way of compensating us for growing
old. ~Mary H. Waldrip

One of the most powerful handclasps is that of a new
grandbaby around the finger of a grandfather. ~Joy Hargrove

become one. ~Author Unknown
