Continuing with my theme of "memories and musings" I refuse to focus too much on current events (Hannah leaving later this week, my Christmas root canal, the big graduation party Sunday night), which I can write about in an email update. Instead I choose to go to the earlier years and write "the rest of the stories" that never made the cut in my prayer letters.
The danger in reliving and writing the stories of the past is that I might ignore loved ones and overlook life that is happening right under my nose. I am striving for balance. As long as I am sharing a computer with Jim, there is a limited risk of my spending too much time here.
The other danger is that I will turn hyper typer and bore people away from my blog with stories that are too long. If even my family and friends stop checking in to read my writings, I'll know I need to change my approach. For now I am enjoying seeing the map of readers all over the world (mostly from my Sonlight curriculum friends).
Please leave any suggestions or feedback so I can make adjustments as needed.
As the airlines always say, "We know you have a choice... thanks for flying with us!" Thank you for choosing to visit my blog today!

Thank you for sharing your stories - it is nice to read about other families who have managed to get their kids to adulthood in one piece :)
Thanks, Missus Wookie. You have lived some of these stories, I'm sure.
Great Stories! I love reading them AND sharing them with my kids!
